Sand is marble's biggest enemy
Fine sand acts like sandpaper under shoes. Use entrance mats, dust-mop daily and avoid dragging furniture to slow down dulling and scratches.
Use pH-neutral cleaners only
Vinegar, lemon and many bathroom sprays are acidic and will etch marble, leaving dull patches. Stick to pH-neutral stone cleaners and wipe up spills quickly.
Know when to call a professional
When the shine no longer returns after cleaning, or etch marks and scratches are visible in daylight, it is time for professional honing and polishing.
Sealing every 12–18 months keeps stains out, and periodic crystallization helps busy entrances hold their gloss.
